Concussion-Related Symptoms
When Symptoms Linger Long After The Injury
Headaches, dizziness, brain fog, neck pain, light sensitivity, and difficulty concentrating can persist for weeks or months after a concussion — long after imaging looks normal and you’ve been told you should feel better. These lingering symptoms are real, and they can have a significant impact on daily life.
Why The Top Of The Neck Matters
A blow or whiplash force strong enough to affect the brain almost always affects the neck as well. The craniocervical junction is especially vulnerable. When the top of the spine is disturbed by the same impact, it can influence blood flow, fluid drainage, and the nerve signals traveling between the head and body — factors that are increasingly recognized as part of why some concussion symptoms persist.
Our Approach
We use detailed testing to assess how your craniocervical junction is functioning after injury. When we find a misalignment, our gentle, targeted correction is aimed at restoring proper position and motion at the top of the neck. Our goal is to remove a mechanical roadblock so your body has a better opportunity to recover and stabilize.
Wondering if your symptoms could be connected to your upper neck? We’re happy to talk with you and determine whether our specialized testing is a good next step.
